Organizers of the 2014 Denver Zombie Crawl hoped to break the world record for the number of zombies in one place at their 9th annual event. Whether they did or not is still to be determined, but thousands of the walking dead packed the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver on October 18. The event called for zombies to start gathering around noon, waiting for the mass crawl at 4 pm. The route was on the 16th Street Mall beginning at Skyline Park and heading to the Denver Pavilions. The crawl was free for all ages. During the day free children games were available at the park. At 5:30 pm there was a participant fashion show at the Denver Pavilions, and for the over 21 crowd there were late night festivities.
